Geoff Cotter's new 8'0" performance thruster

In collaboration with Geoff Darby, who is now sailing the seven seas and hasn't time to spend in the shaping bay these days, I copied his personal board for GC. A little over 8' with a curvy bottom rocker and a slight flicked nose GC's board could get him into trouble as now with the extra buoyancy he might just catch more than his fair share of waves. 

Hardbond Hollow Glass Parabolic Rail Stringerless Quad Fish

The title says it all. Rails are glassed first with  6 oz twist weave then the bottom and deck with a flat weave.

The stringerless shape flexes when surfing on the flat and is stiffer and has more drive when on the rail.

Chad (top photo) says "When I'm on the front foot the tail is loose and slides and when on the back foot it's quick and punchy. Love it. 5'9" x 20" x 20 1/2"

Michael is adding it this one to his quiver for small waves and a different feel. 6'0" x 20 1/2". Black rails and a lemon yellow bottom and deck. Looks sharp. 

Both are Quads with slight hollow concave vees in the tail, soft tucked under edges in the tail and fuller rails for easier paddling and to handle the smaller beach breaks. Easy and forgiving in choppy waves. Lotsa fun.

Fifty / fifty carbon fish going through production and will be posted as soon as its completed.

Rory's new fish

Triple cedar stringers with volan glass and timber/glass keel fins give Rory's new fish a genuine retro feel. The wide trimmed glass laps and the laminated cedar and beech timber nose block add the finishing touch.
